Echium amoenum (Viper's-bugloss)

An herbaceous, hairy plant with branched stems that flowers annually in spring. Its flower has been consumed for making herbal tea, jam, and even in cooked form since ancient times in Iranian homes. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antispasmodic, adrenal-stimulating, astringent, heart-strengthening, sudorific, airway-softening, diuretic, mucolytic, antihypertensive, laxative, and nerve-strengthening properties.
