Mission
The principles of Health and Efficacy, which are in Oralya’s work order, brought about the planned rainfed farming of medicinal herbs. One of the most important parameters in the effectiveness of medicinal herbs is an increase in the production of second metabolites which can be extracted using different methods in the upstream industries, and after utilized by industries such as food, pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetics, etc.
Oralya’s consultant team advised to use rainfed farming of medicinal herbs in regions with average annual precipitations of higher than 300 millimeters using the method of contour farming. That became the basis of Oralya’s action plan.
The rainfed farming technique increases environmental stress on medicinal plants which in turn increases secondary metabolites and the overall quality of the plants.
The contour farming strategy is beneficial in that it raises plant tolerance and leads to longevity and enables economic production of medicinal plants.
